| Share in the harvest...join our CSA program! The 2010 CSA shares are now sold out for the season. But you may still be able to buy our produce on a weekly basis at the Urban Farmers' Market: Stop by Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, at the corner of 7th & Vine, Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00. You'll find us in the parking lot at the rear of the buildings. What is Community Shared Agriculture? Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) is a system of growing and distributing food in a way that connects farmers and those who consume their food. CSA Members pay for a "share" of a farm's seasonal produce before the growing season begins. Members or "shareholders" then receive a weekly quantity of fresh, in-season produce. In a well-functioning CSA, with Mother Nature's co-operation, shareholders can expect to receive more than their share's worth of healthy and fresh produce throughout the growing season.
